It was the perfect weather on Saturday - warm, but not too hot. Shady, but just enough sun coming through the trees to create the perfect mood for a gorgeous, romantic wedding ceremony and reception at the tranquil Chateau Wyuna in Mt Evelyn, Victoria. It was just far out enough from Melbourne to (almost!) be described as a destination wedding.
I first met Correy and Madelaine at their engagement party earlier this year, and they struck me as a very friendly, playful and romantic couple, who seemed very happy together. I thoroughly enjoyed being Party DJ for all their guests - it was a really fun night, with a powerful party atmosphere.
When I walked into the Burgundy Room at Chateau Wyuna, I was instantly in awe of the beautiful whites and pastels used to decorate the room, especially the centre pieces, which were so delicately eye catching.
As I was wedding DJ for this function, I was set up over looking the dance floor which was decorated with beautiful fairy lights especially for dancing later on, and (my favourite) a disco ball! Later in the night when all the lights were on, coupled with my dance floor effect lighting, the space looked absolutely amazing. I had the night off from being MC as well, so I had more opportunity to watch the function and take photos of the occasion.
There was a lovely, colourful candy buffet, and of course, a photo booth for post-champagne shenanigans later on in the night.
It was truly exciting when the bridal party were announced in to "When Love Takes Over" by David Guetta. You could see how excited the bride and groom were, and how the crowd's eyes sparkled as they entered the reception, and a truly fun and romantic tone was set for the night.
Was has always struck me the most about Correy and Maddie, is how gentle they are with each other. Correy is obviously so protective of his now wife (!!), and they both obviously adore each other. Maddie looked almost ethereal in her gorgeous flowing dress, and her hair was perfect, bouncing and flowing as she spun around, and there was rarely a time that there wasn't a gorgeous smile on her happy face.
The speeches were really touching and sweet and the food was delicious - compliments to the Chef at Chateau Wyuna, and before long the bridal dance was underway to a popular and suitable song choice - "All of Me" by John Legend, followed by a yummy dessert.
After everybody finished their dessert the dance floor started, with people moving between dancing and chatting with family and friends - and popular song choices were from the 80s and 90s, and a few current songs from today, plus a repeat of some of the "killer dance moves" from Correy and Maddie's engagement party were seen later in the night.
Of course we had the ever cheeky "garter removal" and "bouquet toss", which was very funny. We then finished the night with a farewell circle and wished the bride and groom all the happiness in the world, after a truly romantic and fun day and night.
Congratulations to the newly wed Mr and Mrs Roos, and thank you so much for booking me as your wedding DJ. I wish you all the best for your future together as husband and wife.
